Garden
Photography
2019

The work Garden consists of several photographs taken in a suburban garden in Copenhagen. It shows the natural flora growing there together with other functional elements which were present in a garden – a garden house, drying rags, or other practical items. The photographs were composed by putting together images made during a four-day performative walk in the garden, where the same place was passed and documented four times, to be framed across its recording and geographic location. It reflects a visualization combining elements of controlled nature, memory, and personal narrative in a series of abstracted natural photos.

The work was exhibited as part of the group exhibitions Thrills and Resort organized by Big SharkThrills took place at Rosenlundsgade and Resort at Art Room 1000fryd in Aalborg, Denmark.

Participants: Inga Gerner Nielsen, Kamilla Mez, Jesper Olsen, Morten Poulsen, Sara Arenfeldt, Mille Holtegaard, and Rikke Ehlers Nilsson.
