Countdown
Linoleum prints (20 x 30 cm)
2024

The work Countdown consists of a series of 10 multi-colored linoleum prints with 10 different Danish butterflies (and moths) within nature, plants, bushes, and trees, that can be found both in greenhouses and outdoors in Denmark. For each print in the series, the number of butterflies is reduced by one, so the first print shows 10 identical butterflies, and the last print has only one. The work can also be viewed the opposite way, as a "counting up", where the number of butterflies is increased by one in each subsequent print.
