Rikke Ehlers Nilsson (b. 1984) is an artist and arts organizer who currently lives and works in Aalborg, Denmark. Her artwork engages the mediums of still and moving images as well as traditional forms such as drawing, textiles, ceramics, and paper works often seeking reinvention within the commonplace. Through her practice she investigates themes such as visuality, staging, and framing in relation to identity, culture, and micro-politics. By examining phenomena within western media - popular culture, literature, and the visual landscape of the internet, she seeks to create a critical frame for contemporary conditions.
